How to use an Auction Template in eBay TURBO LISTER

Before using an Auction Template, you need to know three important things:

1. Download and Install Turbo Lister onto your computer

2. You must host for your images on the site http://www.photobucket.com

3. To look and edit your Auction Template you should be online.

1. Your Auction Template will be sent to you in a notepad file (txt) attachment.

2. Open the Email and click on the paperclip icon.

3. Click on SAVE ATTACHMENTS and choose where to save it (BROWSE)& SAVE.

4. Find your saved Template file (txt).

5. RIGHT click on your saved file and choose OPEN WITH...

6. With the file opened in Notepad choose EDIT-> SELECT ALL which will highlight all the text.

7. Then RIGHT click and choose COPY (You will copy the Template code in your txt file)

8. Open Turbo Lister

9. Create NEW ITEM When you first start using Turbo Lister, you will not yet have a template created from which to create a new item record. To create a new item, Click on the NEW icon>Create New Item or go File>New>Item or type Ctrl+N.

10. This opens a Create New Item window: a) Enter your title: (You may also pick a previous title from the arrow to the right of the title field.) b) Choose category: (If you use a sub-title, enter that. Then choose a category by clicking on the Select button to the right of the category field. ) c) PASTE the copied Template code (See Step 7) in the field "Description"

11. You can see the Template code in the field "Description" on picture below :

12. You can enter your description directly into the Description field, or preferably, click on the icon to open the DESCRIPTION BUILDER, which will allow you to format your DESCRIPTION:

13. This opens a DESCRIPTION BUILDER window:

14. Remove my text and enter your description into section as below: If you want to change the font of your entire description, select/hightlight it all as below then choose the font desired (Arial, Times New Roman or Verdana) from the font field

15. Select CHANGE PHOTO HOST

16. Check the box for 'YOUR OWN WEB HOSTING' and check the box "THE ITEM WILL HAVE A PICTURE INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION. Check SAVE FOR FUTURE LISTINGS -- > OK.

17. Go to PHOTOBUCKET and view your album . You must host for your images on the site http://www.photobucket.com. Also I recommend these free pictures hosting websites: http://imageshack.us/ , http://www.imagecave.com/ , http://xs.to/ , http://tinypic.com/

18. Pick the image you want to use. Copy the info from the Direct Link

19. To upload your pictures from host , select image in Template and click on the camera Icon , at the top .

20. A small window will pop up at the top left of the screen.

21. Paste copied Direct Link (from PHOTOBUCKET) into the small window that popped up in Turbo Lister.

22. Then click INSERT

23. You can see your Picture in the correct place in your Template.

24. If you want to Insert more pictures repeat the above for each photo.

25. Then click SAVE

26. Then set your Terms of Sale - Payments - Shipping - Important to their relevant boxes.
27. If you've created an item which you will want to use as the base for future items, you may want to save a particular item record as a template. From the edit window, click on the SAVE AS TEMPLATE button. This will place the record into your Templates folder:


Please remember that none of the graphics will appear within the template until it is online!
